Talea

Talea is a software generating a real time musical pattern and its graphic representation, the engine of the system is a simple cellular automaton.
The work title concerns the isorhythmic composing practice adoperated in the renaissance music, in that context talea refers to a rhythmic pattern repeated and subjected to augmentation or diminution.
Formally the software is presented as a set of variations always in development.

Talea is the first attempt to use Tactu5 in a project, a work in progress library devoted to creating music in Processing.
Sound synthesis engine has been developed in Csound.
